Diane Stormont has spent the past 25 years in Asia as a journalist and latterly also as a busineswoman specialising in the web and new media.

A 10-year stint at Reuters, which culminated for her as Hong Kong Bureau Chief during the 1997 handover of the British colony to China, took her around the world covering stories as diverse as earthquakes and coup attempts, sporting events to financial liberalisation moves and central bank forums.

In 2000, she co-founded the media consultancy, Hongkongnow.com Ltd. She has filed for a range of publications including the Daily Telegraph, The Economist, Newsweek and Lloyd's List, and has also served as a consultant to private sector companies on practical internet issues and media training.

Diane was President of the Hong Kong Foreign Correspondents’ Club from 1998-99 and President of the Seoul FCC from 1991-92. She holds a BSc from University College London and a master's degree from the University of Hong Kong.
